The top 10 apps merchants see when they search the Shopify App Store for multi currency, in the exact order the store ranks them. Only Shopify's organic ranking is shown, never sponsored ads.
Updated September 8, 2026 · Organic rankingThere is a difference here that decides everything, and Shopify's own listing taxonomy treats it as two separate capabilities: changing the price a visitor sees, and changing the currency they are actually charged in. Only the second is real money. Shopify is blunt about it, describing the currency presented at checkout as what customers "agree to pay, and how their payment method is charged", and calling those values the source of truth. Selling in another currency for real requires Shopify Payments and the markets setup behind it.
Which means a converter that only rewrites displayed prices is showing a shopper one number and charging another at the till. One of the apps in this grid says so plainly on its own listing. That is not necessarily useless, since seeing a familiar currency helps people judge a price, but it is a very different product from selling in that currency, and the conversion Shopify does natively includes rounding rules you control rather than a live rate producing prices ending in odd fractions.

Built for Shopify
Built for Shopify is the highest level of recognition Shopify awards an app. To earn
the badge, an app must meet Shopify's standards for safety, performance, ease of use,
and proven usefulness: it cannot slow down the admin, storefront, or checkout, must
integrate seamlessly into the Shopify admin, and must demonstrate quality through
installs, reviews, and ratings over time. When comparing similar apps, preferring
ones with the badge is a safe default.

We built Rankbase to track the App Store rankings of our own apps first, then opened it to other developers, and this directory grew out of that work. The rankings on these pages are Shopify's own organic search results; we never edit them, including for our own apps.
