Which leads to the fact that catches people out. The usage limits live on the discount, not on the code. A cap of one use per customer, or a total redemption limit, applies across every code in the batch rather than to each one individually. So if the plan was to hand each affiliate a code redeemable ten times, that is not what a single discount with five thousand codes does, and finding out afterwards is expensive. Bulk creation is also batched and asynchronous, with a documented ceiling per request, so generating a very large set is a job that runs rather than a button that finishes.
