Importing a supplier listing sounds like copying and is really a translation, because the two catalogs are shaped differently. What the import does with variants: Try one messy product before committing: a listing with four attributes and a long size range. Look at what came across, what got merged, whether images landed against the right options, and how long the resulting titles are.
Whether stock and price actually stay in sync: Only some of these claim it clearly. Ask how often, what happens when a supplier removes a variant, and whether a sync can overwrite a price you edited by hand. Inventory writes can be made conditional so a live sale and a sync do not race; ask whether the app does that or simply overwrites.
