The right the notice describes has existed for years. Under the sale of goods directive, "The seller shall be liable to the consumer for any lack of conformity which exists at the time when the goods were delivered and which becomes apparent within two years of that time." The harmonised part is the point. An implementing regulation fixes the design: one mandatory notice for all goods, and a second, conditional label named GARAN, which the regulation itself explains "refers to 'guarantee' in several languages", shown only where a producer offers a free commercial guarantee covering the whole product for more than two years. That is why so many of these apps carry the same word in their names. It is a legal artefact, not a vendor brand.

Do not confuse this with the warranty you sell. This is free, statutory and compulsory to disclose. Extended warranties are a paid product with their own apps. And Shopify offers nothing native to hang it on: its list of standard metafield definitions has no warranty or guarantee entry, and app embeds and blocks are inactive until someone places them in the theme editor, which the app cannot do for you.

Where prominent actually means: The text asks for prominence. A block hidden in a collapsed accordion below the fold is a weak reading of that. Look at the default placement, whether you can move it, and how it renders on a phone.
Not your extended warranty: Some listings here are named in a way that invites the mix-up. If you sell paid protection plans, that is a separate product and a separate app. Keep the statutory notice free of any upsell, since blending the two is exactly the confusion the rule exists to prevent.
