The top 10 apps merchants see when they search the Shopify App Store for easy redirects, in the exact order the store ranks them. Only Shopify's organic ranking is shown, never sponsored ads.
Updated September 8, 2026 · Organic rankingThis one search returns two unrelated kinds of app in roughly equal number, which is worth knowing before the list below confuses you. Half are URL redirect managers, for when a page stops existing and its address should still lead somewhere useful. The other half are geolocation redirects, for steering a visitor to the version of the store that matches their country.
Shopify already covers part of each. There is a built-in redirect table that issues real permanent redirects, accepts a bulk CSV import and holds a very large number of entries; what it will not do is match a pattern, so every address has to be listed literally and anything involving query strings is unreliable. On the geolocation side, stores whose markets sit on their own domains or subfolders are redirected automatically already, while stores sharing a single domain only swap the content. Shopify is notably cool on forcing the rest: its own geolocation tool recommends rather than redirects, EU visitors are deliberately exempt from automatic redirection, and its developer documentation offers an automatic redirect as the bad example.

Built for Shopify
Built for Shopify is the highest level of recognition Shopify awards an app. To earn
the badge, an app must meet Shopify's standards for safety, performance, ease of use,
and proven usefulness: it cannot slow down the admin, storefront, or checkout, must
integrate seamlessly into the Shopify admin, and must demonstrate quality through
installs, reviews, and ratings over time. When comparing similar apps, preferring
ones with the badge is a safe default.

Explore Rankbase →Rankbase is made by Craftshift, a Shopify Partner building apps for product images, variants, and bulk catalog work. We built Rankbase to track the App Store rankings of our own apps first, then opened it to other developers, and this directory grew out of that work. The rankings on these pages are Shopify's own organic search results; we never edit them, including for our own apps.
