The first thing to notice is that this is not one integration, it is three, and Shopify files them in three unrelated categories: accounts and login, staff notifications, and discounts. Signing customers in with Discord, posting store events into a channel, and giving a Discord member a discount in your shop are separate products that happen to share a logo. Even the direction differs: some grant a Discord role from a purchase, and at least one does the opposite, granting a shop discount from a role.

Which of the three jobs: Gating a server by what someone bought, letting people log into your store with Discord, and piping orders into a channel are different purchases. Read the listing to the end, because the icons look the same and the products do not overlap.
How entitlement is revoked: Granting a role on purchase is easy. Taking it away when a subscription lapses, an order is refunded or a chargeback lands is the part that matters, and it is where webhook diffing goes wrong. Ask exactly which events remove a role, and test a refund before you launch.
What happens when the connection drops: Given that repeated delivery failures can delete a subscription, ask what the app does about missed events: whether it backfills from the Admin API on reconnect, whether it tells you, and whether a member who bought during an outage ever gets their role.
Which customer accounts it supports: Shopify has deprecated legacy customer accounts, and they are no longer available to new stores or to existing stores not already using them.
