The top 10 apps merchants see when they search the Shopify App Store for delete me, in the exact order the store ranks them. Only Shopify's organic ranking is shown, never sponsored ads.
Updated September 8, 2026 · Organic rankingShopify says this twice, in two different places, which is unusual enough to take seriously: deleting a product is irreversible and a deleted product cannot be recovered, and you should consider archiving or unpublishing instead if you might want it back. Those three words mean three different things. Archiving hides a product and keeps it, reversibly, in its own tab. Unpublishing is a per-channel switch rather than a status at all. Deleting is the only one that is final, and a good share of people who say delete actually want the first.
Worth knowing too that the admin already does this. A spreadsheet import cannot delete anything, and Shopify's own documentation says so while pointing you at the bulk actions in your products list instead. So what this category really sells is the selecting rather than the deleting: everything out of stock, everything from one vendor, everything still in draft, everything in a collection you are retiring. And deletion takes quiet passengers with it. A product leaves its collections and every metafield attached to it is deleted along with it. Orders are the reassuring exception: completed ones keep their information and refunds remain processable.

Built for Shopify
Built for Shopify is the highest level of recognition Shopify awards an app. To earn
the badge, an app must meet Shopify's standards for safety, performance, ease of use,
and proven usefulness: it cannot slow down the admin, storefront, or checkout, must
integrate seamlessly into the Shopify admin, and must demonstrate quality through
installs, reviews, and ratings over time. When comparing similar apps, preferring
ones with the badge is a safe default.

Explore Rankbase →Rankbase is made by Craftshift, a Shopify Partner building apps for product images, variants, and bulk catalog work. We built Rankbase to track the App Store rankings of our own apps first, then opened it to other developers, and this directory grew out of that work. The rankings on these pages are Shopify's own organic search results; we never edit them, including for our own apps.
